RCA Victor unveiled the first electronic turntable in 1930. The RCA dog Nipper thus gained notoriety on both sides of the ocean. For both Victrola and later for RCA-Victor, and eventually RCA Company, the Nipper trademark became well-known. Before that, Victor continued to be used as the name of the label. In 1929, the American rights were acquired when the company became RCA-Victor and became known for radios as well as phonographs and records. While manufacturing began under the RCA Victor name, it wouldnt be until 1945 that records would begin to appear with the RCA Victor name and logo. Give me a day to pack it up and maybe the next to drop it at FedEx. Victor was both a record label and a record player manufacturer. Can't protect it from everything (fire, plane or truck crash, etc.), but everything within reason. The Victor Talking Machine Company was an American recording company and phonograph manufacturer headquartered in Camden, New Jersey. It was the largest and most prestigious firm of its kind in the world, perhaps best known for its use of the famous 'His Masters Voice' trademark and the production, marketing and design of the 'Victrola' line of phonographs.
I have packed and shipped guitars and radios worth over $2,000 so I know how to make it as safe as possible to ship an item and have it arrive safely. I am happy to answer any and all questions and provide additional photos upon request. I did work on the clean up the finish a little bit, pretty much just dusted it.ĭue to the phonograph's age, item is sold "as is" so please ask questions prior to the end of the listing. That is the panel I had to remove to get a photo of the tubes.
IT WORKS, to a degree! I plugged it in, the tubes light up, sound is produced! The label that is upside down in the photos is now right side up. I will be listing many more antique radios, speakers, etc. Hi and thanks for having a look at my listing!
